Sisters in Christ

Sisters in Christ is a monthly meeting of women who are interested in a group that provides caring and sharing along with a study of God’s Word. Each woman involved is given one other woman to whom she is committed to pray for and encourage throughout the year in a way that exemplifies Christ’s love and fellowship. Sisters in Christ also involves reaching out to some of our shut-ins and ministering to them as needed.

Our year begins on November 4 with an informational banquet held at the church that is open to all women. At our December meeting, names are drawn and each woman will receive a “sister in Christ”. In the following months, our meeting times consist of a time of study of God’s Word, a time of prayerful sharing, and a time of fellowship. Each meeting lasts approximately two hours and is held in different homes of our members, usually on Thursday evenings. Participation is on a yearly basis and because our women depend on each other, commitment to the program is strongly encouraged.
