Media Ministry

I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Our 21st century culture is saturated with electronic media messages. Each successive generation is more and more attuned to receiving information this way. To this end we desire to give the greatest message of all – the gospel, packaged in a method and delivery mode that speaks to our culture. We use the PC, video, sound, and screen projection to convey everything from announcements and song lyrics to sermon illustrations and worship presentations. Our primary goal is to enhance the gospel message by whatever means available – the message, not the media, is our focus. In everything we produce, in everything we enhance, we strive for excellence, knowing our efforts and service are for God and His glory.

In all areas of media, both technology and methods are constantly changing. As we continue to use media as a tool, we’re challenged to continue learning and investigating new methods to convey the gospel message. As media use grows, so does the opportunity to serve in this ministry. All of our teams are volunteers whose skills and interests lie in communication and electronic media.

Sound

The sound team sets up and operates all the equipment necessary to amplify and make our pastors and speakers, praise band, choir, soloists, drama teams, and instruments sound their very best both in our worship services and at special services and events. Sound technicians are present at all music practices and perform sound checks and adjustments prior to worship for all participants.

Creative Presentation

Our multimedia team puts together the on-screen media for each worship and special service: announcements, call-to-worship presentation, song lyrics, sermon notes, and any video or screen presentation used in the service. We also produce and run whatever multimedia is needed for special events held on and off-site. We’re continually working to produce our own material: originally written and acted in-house skits and videos, and each week a short presentation designed to prepare hearts to worship God just prior to each worship service.

Video

Our video team records the worship service and any special services for distribution to our library, members who may be temporarily unable to attend, and also make copies of services on request.
