ABF is an acronym for Adult Bible Fellowships. ABFs are an alternative to the traditional Sunday School that we as a church have embraced. Whereas Sunday School focuses almost all of it’s attention on traditional teaching/learning methods, ABF’s attempt to create a time that is as conducive to fellowship among like-minded believers who are sharing similar life experiences and challenges as it as it is to learning. In fact, much learning is done as people interact and share their lives. In groups of this nature people are encouraged to use what they have experienced in life to help others in their groups. All of this, however, is also grounded in strong Biblical teaching. Each group may have different ages and a different focus, but the tool and the glue that unites each is their commitment to learning the Bible and growing through the study of God’s word and group fellowship. We still have Sunday School for children and teenagers, but for the Adults, we have found that ABF’s meet the need for sound Biblical teaching and God-honoring fellowship.
