Senior Pastor - Barry Shahan
Pastor Shahan has served at Portage Community Chapel since 1976. He is the 4th senior pastor of the church and has guided the church through many healthy and oft times difficult changes that were instrumental in church and individual growth over the years. Pastor Shahan has served in youth ministry in Michigan, as the director of Camp Carl under Dave Burnham (then Senior Pastor of the Chapel in Akron), and finally coming to pastor PCC where he has done the bulk of his ministry. He Graduated from Grace College in 1973 and Grace Seminary in 1975 where he received his Masters of Divinity. Following graduation he was ordained for ministry. Pastor Shahan is married to his wife of 42 years, Eileen, and has two grown children, Susan and Becka. |

Associate Pastor - Mark Miller
Pastor Miller has served at Portage Community Chapel since 1988. Prior to coming to PCC Mark served in youth ministry at the Chapel in Akron for two years. He originally joined the staff of PCC as the Youth Pastor, a ministry that he lead faithfully until 2002, when he passed it on and took on other pastoral duties such as counseling, family ministry, trustee supervision, and expanded preaching. Pastor Miller Graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1986 with a BA in Pastoral Studies and then Grace Seminary in 2003 with a MA in Theological Studies. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry. Pastor Miller was licensed for ministry in 1986 and then ordained for ministry in 2005. Mark is married to his wife of 20 Years, Cheryl, and has four children: Nicole, Allison, Andrew and Caleb. |

Youth/Worship Pastor - Jimmy McNutt
Jimmy McNutt is the newest addition to the staff at PCC. He came on as intern youth/worship pastor in January of 2008. Jimmy and his wife Maria have lived and been involved in ministries in Cleveland since they were married two years ago. Maria is originally from Ravenna, and grew up in the ministries of Portage Community Chapel. The couple moved back to Ravenna in late 2007 at which time Jimmy graduated from Moody Bible Institutes Independent studies program. Prior to moving to Cleveland, Jimmy spent 3 years as an assistant director at and evangelistic ministry for people with special needs called Camp Echoing Hills. God has placed a burden on his heart for those who are lost and suffering, which has been a central conviction in every ministry he has worked in. He feels that this same passion will be central to his ministry in music and with teens. |

Minister of Education - Brent Joy
Brent Joy has served at Portage Community chapel since 2000. He volunteered to take the leadership role of Christian Education and has served faithfully in that capacity for 7 years. In 2006 he came onto staff in a part-time capacity. Brent is currently attending classes through Trinity College of the Bible and is working towards his BA in Christian Educational Ministries. Brent is married to his wife of 20 years, Mona, and has two teenage children, Keith and Olivia. |

Minister of Missions - Tim Miller
Tim Miller has served at Portage Community Chapel since 1990. He has served in Youth Ministry, as drummer for the Band, as a Trustee, Deacon, Sound Technician, and Director of Missions. In 2006 Tim also came on staff as a part-time minister. Tim Graduated from Columbus State University with an Associates degree in Aviation Maintenance 1989 and Kent State University in 1991 with a BS in Aviation Maintenance and Aerospace Studies. On average Tim leads two to three missions trips to foreign countries and remote places such as Alaska each year. Tim is married to his wife of 12 years, Becka, and has three children, Megan, Colin, and Kate. |

Administrative Assistant - Kim Cook
Kim has served as Secretary and Administrative assistant at PCC since 1989. Kim first came to the church in 1971, and she has attended the church with her husband Rick for their entire married life. They have two grown children, Rachel and Jared. |

Financial Secretary - Marilyn Raux
Marilyn came on as financial secretary in 2002 and assumed the bulk of the responsibility for the church finances. She has attended the church with her husband Bill since 1989. Bill and Marilyn have two grown children, Geoff and Kristy. |
